Escort Checklist
• All escorts MUST see proof of valid driver’s license or government issued photo ID from ALL
persons escorted, NO EXCEPTIONS!
• Escorts MUST have workers assigned to them. Any who are transferred to or from other Escorts
MUST properly fill out new escort papers.
• All persons being Escorted for work in Terminal main passenger level MUST enter through TSA
screening with a Gate Pass and MUST be secured by the Escort before beginning work and for the
duration of their time in the Terminal.
• Workers who only work on Lower Level CANNOT enter sterile area without a TSA gate pass. Lunch
and all other breaks MUST be on the LOWER LEVEL ONLY.
• Workers who conduct work on both upper and lower levels MUST be escorted at all times after
entering through TSA checkpoint with gate pass.
• All tools or equipment MUST be transferred to the escort and moved to a work area by the Escort
through the Employee Entrance checkpoint on lower level.
• NO Workers that will be working in sterile passenger areas can enter through lower level, they
MUST get a gate pass and go through TSA checkpoint.
• A vehicle being escorted MUST go through “Charlie Post”; From the C-4 ramp checkpoint directly
to the area where it will be parked for workers. The driver and passengers of the vehicle MUST be
taken by the Escort to EXIT at Employee Entrance and instructed to get TSA gate pass before
beginning any work inside the sterile area.
• Escorts MUST secure tools or equipment at the job site as soon as possible, and NEVER leave tools
unattended! Contractors MUST have a valid/accurate tool list with their tools at all times.
• NO WORKER CAN LEAVE THE WORK AREA UNLESS ESCORTED!
• Escorts MUST check that no worker leaves a job site with ANY TOOLS, unless they have Escort and
a valid/accurate tool list with them at all times.
• Escorts are required to keep all persons under their supervision within IMMEDIATE LINE OF SIGHT
AND REASONABLE RANGE FOR COMMUNICATION in a normal speaking voice.
• When contractors are inside an enclosed work-space escorts are to STAND IN A VIGILANT AND
PROFESSIONAL MANNER to properly secure the entrances/exits from the work-space.
• Escorts are NOT to use cell phones for personal use while at work. Cell phone use is for
EMERGENCIES ONLY!
• ANY WORKER REFUSING TO FOLLOW THE RULES SHALL BE REPORTED IMMEDIATELY TO A
SUPERVISOR AND KEPT UNDER ESCORT TILL SUPERVISOR ARRIVES.
• ESCORTS AND WORKERS MUST FOLLOW ALL TSA & PORT AUTHORITY RULES AT ALL TIMES!
